Every summer our son Elijah picks a few crops to grow on his own. We love not only teaching him about nature and agriculture but also independence. The money he gets from selling his crops is totally his do what he wants (mostly legos)

Jackolaterns and Candy Roasters
The Jackolaterns he grew for all his classmates and the Candy Roasters ( a local heirloom winter squash) went to Hop Ice Cream for a special batch of ice cream

Roselle and Watermelon
this year Elijah is selling me the roselle so I can make Roselle Sugar and the watermelon will be going to Sunshine Sammies to make sorbet
